I Heart All Things British!

Have you noticed whatever comes out of the UK is always a style MUST HAVE?
Take the British Flag for example, I could literally have Jack strategically placed in every room of my house. Yes every room, including my daughters room with a fun rug like {Jonathan Adler's}
Union Jack Zebra Rug.

Most Think...The Who, Think...Hip, Think...Mary Quant, Think...Style
Think...swinging london, Think...Trendy, Think...60's Mod UNION JACKS
I however, think.. style, think... vintage, think... london, think.. punk, and think mixed,  it can be one
amazing styled design inspiration of projects.
When I am out scouring a flea market or an estate sale, I am always on the search for
vintage union jack flags. The flags are perfect for making pillows, cushions, headboards, or framing and hanging on your wall as art.
I personally could recover every era of furniture with it!
Not to mention many companies now design the flag in many different colors.
Loving the framed Union Jack Flag! Found at {Z Gallerie}.
Good ol' {Vivienne Westwood}. I heart her!
You can take her punk sensibilities home with her series of Union Jack designs carried at
This Antique Sofa is too die for!!!
I can see this in a funky, hip, london coffee shop or at {Nordstroms}as part of
{Ben Sherman's} retail display.

Fashion model, Kate Moss... enough said!

You must check out this months {Adore Magazine}, the british addition.

Right Now I'm Loving......

Antique Toledo Stools
Okay folks, I may need your help with this, as I am loving and currently on the hunt to find me a set of Antique Toledo Stools!
Toledo by no other name is just a classic furniture company who specializes in strong, sturdy, heavy, long lasting factory machine stools and typewriter stands.
Have you noticed that over the years stools have gotten simple, lighter, and cheaper?
Stools have dramatically changed, now thinner, cushioned and really have dropped off the interior decor palette. Compared to back in the day when they were heavy, made with plane wood, and used as a tool, not a display, accent, or look.
Oh my gosh PINK, REALLY!! Your killing me {Living Inside}.

That's it, I am now on a mission!

Royalty!

I am not sure what it is but ever since I saw the UK artist {Ann Carrington's} "Pearly Queen of Bow" hanging on The Novogratz wall. I have been designing my living room around it,
hoping, one day it will be hanging above my sofa! :)
Ann uses pearlescent buttons on black canvas to make this unique piece.
Can't even imagine all the detail work that goes into each and everyone of her pieces!

You may have seen this piece of Royalty on the hit show {9bydesign}, the self made designers
Cortney & Bob Novogratz own the hip {Sixx Design}.
They love Ann Carrington's work so much, that they tend to use her art in almost every design they do.

On a total side note, I love love love Cortney & Bob! They're design style completely screams ME to a "T"! I fall head over heals every time they take vintage industrial, antiques and throw them in with bright modern pieces.
If I ever had the money and option of hiring an interior designer duo to design my office or home.
These two would be it!!!

something old, something new, something borrowed....

something {BLUE}

Today's inspiration comes out of Mesa, Arizona. A Vintage Blue Wedding that has been featured on one of the top wedding blogs {RUFFLED}.
The bride, Haley pulled out all the stops and made this vintage blue and green themed wedding one her guest were going to remember. She started with the perfect back yard back drop surrounded by beautiful Orange Groves.
The wedding colors were ivory, avocado green, and blue. Haley used all different shades of greens and blues which she ended up adding throughout  the reception area by painting tables, a dresser, and accent pieces. {A girl after my own heart}.
Brett and Haley wanted an intimate, open, simple and unique modern atmosphere.
Sometimes you must take matters into your own hands, you might be surprised how much style you really have.
Just when you think you have seen it all, you turn the corner....
This couple really pulled out all the style one can have and transformed this back yard into a vintage paradise.
Kudos to the BRIDE & GROOM you nailed it!

This is a
style{d} approved wedding.
