Big, Bold & Beautiful

Today is all about B&W stripes!!
Stripes are fun, eccentric, bold, and classic all at the same time. I love how black and white stripes lends itself to any accent color. It's modernity can extrude through walls, accents, and even the latest fashion.
You can't go wrong with black and white!

{Pantone 2011 Color of the Year}

Last year {Apartment Therapy} announced Pantone 2010 color of the year ~Turquoise~ {which I swooned over all year}. This year Pantone named ~Honeysuckle~ 2011 color of the year {LOVE IT}.
I am so not a girly girl however, I am drawn to anything HOT PINK. I find myself picking out this color over everything else. I mean my sofa is even HOT PINK.
Yes here she is, my Down with Love Sofa from {Room Service}

You may be thinking there is no way my husband would let me have a HOT PINK couch or you may love it but not sure how to incorporate pink into your world.
The following shots will give you fun, stylish, ways you could use pink in your life.

How I wish I had stairs!!
be inspired........

pack your bags.....

We are getting ready for one exciting trip! A trip down luggage lane.... whether you are using it to carry belongings, store memories, or use as a display, luggage is one of the most versatile pieces.
You can find them in many different eras, colors, shapes and sizes.
Now a days, luggage is even being used at parties!
Keep in mind when buying vintage luggage to ALWAYS open it up and look inside. Mold, Smells, and Stains like to linger inside...There are several ways of getting rid of smells and some times mold but you must have the time to clean and a good sun exposed back yard, deck or patio. Sometimes old luggage need keys to open so make sure you can open the suitcase before buying it.
If all else fails you can always rent vintage luggage.
Check out style{d} preferred vintage rental companies {here}.

{vintage rentals}

Vintage Rentals is a unique niche which consists of collectors, dealers, stylist and lovers of all things vintage. The concept of a vintage rental company seems to be growing rapidly all over the world.
Southern California seems to have a few to choose from but places such as Northern California, Texas, Chicago, Oregon, are in need of a place brides, photographers, event coordinators, can go and pick out some amazing one of kind pieces for their event, wedding, or photo shoot.
Many have trouble figuring out where to go to find similar items or a one stop shop to rent one of kind vintage baubles.
Here at style{d} we want to make it easy for everyone to find out the latest places to go to purchase great vintage found items or a place in your city to rent salvaged, distressed, chippy, treasures.
style{d} has created a {vintage rentals} page dedicated to preferred style{d} approved vendors. You will find the closes rental company in your area, if you press on the link it will take you to each website filled with vintage inspiration, found items, and contact info for your next big event.

office monday....

On my mind today is my home office. Every one either has a home office or needs a home office. Don't you agree? I have never had a specific spot in my house I would call my "office".
 I have been trying to design a home office in my head for days now but just can't figure out which direction I want to go. Off to the drawing board I went....or in my case, design websites, blogs, and google pictures in search of some inspiration.
Who here has a home office and what was your style inspiration?
